Update: The man found dead yesterday in the same home where a baby’s body was found buried in the backyard of a Southwest Bakersfield home ten days ago has been identified.
The coroner’s office have identified the man as Jagsir Singh, 48, the grandfather of the baby found on Feb. 26, in the 5200 block of Shining Crag Avenue.

Police were investigating an apparent suicide Thursday morning at the same home where a baby’s body was unearthed in the back yard nine days ago.
Investigators said they got a call at around 9 a.m. to the home in the 5200 block of Shining Crag Avenue and found the body of a man who is believed to have died of suicide.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity.
The home is same home where a baby’s body was found buried in the backyard on Feb. 26.
A man and woman who live at the house were arrested.
Police say a teenager who lived there gave birth to a son in November.
Shortly after the birth, the teen’s mother, Beant Kaur Dhillon, 43, drowned the child, according to court records. She has been charged with murder and child cruelty.
She remains in custody, held without bail.
After the drowning, the teen’s father took the baby’s body and handed it to his adult nephew, who buried the body in the back yard., according to court documents.
The teen’s father, Jagsir Singh, 47, was released on bail.
The nephew, Bakhshinderpal Singh Mann, 23, remains a fugitive and police are actively searching for him.
