A man is recovering at a hospital after being shot while walking along Browning Road Tuesday evening.
Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a man down, and found a 35-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds at Elmo Highway and Browning Road.
Officials said he was walking northbound on Browning Road when a man in a white four-door vehicle opened fire. The 35-year-old walked to a nearby home in McFarland asking for help.
The man was airlifted to Kern Medical and KCSO said his wounds were non-life threatening Tuesday night.
