A 40-year-old man has been convicted Friday of first-degree murder in the shooting death of a Delano man last year.

A Bakersfield jury found Robert Dominguez guilty of five felony counts, including first-degree murder and threatening a witness, for the killing of Victor Palomo, a 37-year-old Delano man.

Delano police said officers found Palomo with multiple gunshot wounds on the afternoon of March 4, 2017 in the 1200 block of Fremont Street. He was taken to Delano Regioinal Medical Center where he later died.

Dominguez is due in court for sentencing on March 13.
