Man accused in standoff near CBCC enters ‘not guilty’ plea

The man at the center of a Tuesday night standoff plead not guilty to several felony charges in court Friday.

Bakersfield police say William Fazendin fled to Truxtun Plaza near CBCC after officers responded to a domestic violence call at his home nearby.

Once he was there he drew a gun and threatened to shoot himself.

A crisis negotiator managed to get him to surrender six hours later.

Officers say they later found three long guns, ammunition and body armor in his vehicle.

Fazendin is due back in court on March 28.
