A man accused in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a boy in East Bakersfield pleaded not guilty to charges Wednesday.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Hilario Viruncruz on Monday. The sheriff’s office said the young accuser positively identified the suspect as Viruncruz.
He was wanted over the weekend after a minor accused him of kidnapping and assaulting him in East Bakersfield.

He is due for his next court date on Sept. 17 and is being held on $1.5 million bail.
