A man accused of a deadly stabbing nearly two years ago in Bakersfield pleaded not guilty to murder Wednesday.
Michael Rosales, 34, was arrested this month and charged with murdering 23-year-old Miguel Angel Garcia.
Police say Rosales stabbed Garcia at a party in March last year in South Bakersfield.
Rosales was wanted for questioning, but investigators believed he had fled to Los Angeles or Mexico. He was arrested on Dec. 10 at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Rosales is due back in court on Jan. 10, 2019.
