Local veteran CM ‘Bob’ Martin dies at 91

Another local veteran, one who fought in two of America’s wars, has died.

World War II and Korean War veteran C.M. “Bob” Martin died Sunday at the age of 91, according to Kern County Honor Flight.

Martin was drafted into the California National Guard before volunteering for the Army in 1950.

During the Koran War, he served as a platoon sergeant and received a Bronze Star for his service.
