Local transportation company offering free, round-trip rides to LAX for federal employees

News

A local transportation company is offering free rides to federal employees who have been furloughed during the current federal government shutdown.

Airport Valet Express takes passengers between Bakersfield and LAX.

Federal employees can ride round trip from the company’s customer center located at 201 Stine Rd, Suite 120, to their terminal at LAX for free.

Owner Philip Rudnick said it is a small way they can show these government employees they appreciate their service to our country.

Rudnick said this offer is available while the government shut down is in place.

Airport Valet Express runs four times each way Monday through Friday and twice a day on the weekends.
