Local real estate appraiser Gary Crabtree says it was a slow winter season for Bakersfield’s housing market.
In Crabtree’s latest monthly report, the real estate market was described as slow, but is “in balance.”
Current listings and closed sales declined in December, but unsold inventory remained stable.
Crabtree also says future demand also declined, but he says even with little supply, prices are increasing slightly.
Housing affordability is also stable as the increase in price and interest rates were off-set by rising median family incomes.
