Unmanned experimental aircraft crashes during test flight

EDWARDS, Calif. (KGET) — An unmanned experimental aircraft crashed Friday after taking off from NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center.

The remotely-piloted X-56B was destroyed upon impact after experiencing “an incident” shortly after takeoff, NASA officials said. There were no fatalities or injuries.
