Two rescued after vehicle goes into canal in south Bakersfield

Bakersfield, Calif. (KGET) — Two people were rescued by firefighters Friday night after their vehicle went into a canal in south Bakersfield.

Firefighters rescued the driver and a passenger. The incident occurred on Monitor Street south of Panama Lane just after 8:30 p.m., according to pulse point.

No serious injuries were reported. The cause of the incident was unknown.
