BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Protesters gathered Sunday for a third night of protests over George Floyd, the man who died while in police custody in Minneapolis last week.
Sunday’s protests were relatively peaceful as they marched about two miles from Downtown’s Mechanics Bank Arena to MLK Park.
At MLK Park, protesters held a peaceful gathering, many of them making speeches.
Protesters later returned to Bakersfield police headquarters, playing music and chanting and stayed there until around 11 p.m.
The group then left headquarters and marched through nearby streets.
