Surveillance video shows an armed robbery attempt at a Central Bakersfield gas station that left two people stabbed Wednesday night.
Two people are recovering after being stabbed in the attack that happened at a Mobil gas station in the 100 block of 19th Street at around 11 p.m.
Police said two men — one of them armed with a knife — demanded money from a clerk. The clerk resisted and the video shows a struggle between store employees and one of the would-be robbers. One of the clerks was stabbed in the struggle.
According to police, another man was stabbed outside the store as the two suspects got away.
Police said the two stabbing victims’ wounds were minor.
The two suspected robbers got away in a red car, police said. Anyone with information on the case is asked call Bakersfield police at 327-7111.
