Bakersfield residents will have a new option starting Thursday to enjoy food, drinks, and movies all in one place, while still getting out of the house.

Studio Movie Grill will open its doors to the public for a “soft opening” starting at 6 p.m., according to a company news release. The new location at the intersection of Calloway Drive and Rosedale Highway is the company’s fifth California location.

Moviegoers will be treated to an expanded experience compared to traditional movie theaters, able to order food and cocktails to enjoy while the movie plays.

The grand opening of the Bakersfield location is slated for April 19 at 5 p.m.
