BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two men suffered burn injuries in a fire that broke out at an auto shop just off South Union Avenue, firefighters said.

Bakersfield Fire Chief Anthony Galagaza said he didn’t know the extent and severity of the burns to the men in the blaze that occurred Friday afternoon at 128 E. Terrace Way.

It’s unclear what caused the fire, and arson investigators were at the scene.

South Union Avenue was closed in both directions at the Highway 58 exit while the fire burned.
