KCSO: Reported body found by Kern River was mannequin leg

UPDATE (6:08 a.m.): The reported body turned out to be a mannequin leg, according to KCSO.


BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said detectives and search and rescue teams have been called to recover a body found by the Kern River on Wednesday night.

KCSO said a body was discovered on the shore of the river in an area about 5 miles east of the mouth of canyon.
