A pregnant Rosamond woman is claiming a Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputy used excessive force when responding to a call Wednesday afternoon.

In a series of videos shot by a neighbor, the woman, Jessica Marciel, appears to be shoved and wrestled to the ground by a KCSO deputy.

Marciel says KCSO deputies were responding to a call of dogs being left in the heat at her Rosamond home. Marciel’s boyfriend is said to begin arguing with deputies and she says the deputies began to beat her.

17 News obtained the video of the alleged incident Friday. We’ve removed the audio of the incident because of foul language.

17 News reached out to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office to ask about the incident, but the sheriff’s office did not respond.
