UPDATE (1/6): Police said Omar Uranda, 28, of Moorpark was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Service. He was transported from Moorpark to Kern County and has been booked into jail.
UPDATE (1/6): The Kern County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as 45-year-old Luise Ramirez and 39-year-old Rudie Rene Casillas of Bakersfield as the victims in this shooting.
UPDATE (1/4): The Bakersfield Police Department has confirmed it has arrested 25-year-old Mario Velasquez on suspicion of two counts of murder in connection with Saturday’s shooting.
UPDATE (1/3): Two people were killed in last night’s shooting at the Vagabond Inn on Colony Street in south Bakersfield, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The department said the victims were found dead in one of the rooms and that they appear to have died from gunshot wounds. There is no suspect information at this time.
(1/2): BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police are investigating a shooting late Saturday night at a Vagabond Inn in South Bakersfield.
Bakersfield police said officers were called to the 6500 block of Colony Street for a report of a shooting just after 11 p.m. on Saturday.
It was not immediately known how many people may have been wounded.
