BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A person was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision on California Avenue Friday night.
The Bakersfield Police Department said just before 10 p.m., officers were sent to the area of California Avenue and A Street after receiving reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car. One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.
The department said the car fled the area following the crash. There is no description of the vehicle at this time.
Officers temporarily closed westbound traffic on California Avenue between A Street and Oleander Avenue.
