A North High School staff member accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with students made his first court appearance Thursday.
Edwin Rodriguez plead not guilty to 11 felonies and 13 misdemeanor charges, including lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 or 15 years of age and false imprisonment.
Rodriguez was hired by the Kern High School District in 2009 as a walk-on football coach.
He, then, took a job as part of the North High campus security team before taking on the job of equipment manager in 2011.
Rodriguez was placed on administrative leave last year after the investigation began.
He is due in court at the end of April.
