New unemployment numbers show dramatic drop

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — New unemployment numbers are out for Kern County and they show a dramatic drop last month.

The Kern County unemployment rate dropped to 8.4% in April, down from a revised 10% in March.

In April 2018, Kern unemployment was 8.6%.

California’s unemployment remained at 4.3% in April compared to a national rate of 3.6%.
