More unhealthy air expected as wildfires continue to burn

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — More unhealthy air is expected in the Central Valley this week due to wildfires.

Thousands of firefighters continue to battle blazes that are sending smoke into the San Joaquin Valley. Fire officials say they are doing a good job on containment, but two fires caused by lightning strikes last week have burned more than 300,000 acres combined, funneling smoke into the area.
