Medearis signs headed to neon courtyard at the Kern County Museum

Local News

The Kern County Museum is going to add some nifty neon to its collection.

The Medearis family donated their iconic shop signs from their location of 66 years at 23rd and R streets.

One says Gene & Larry Medearis Auto-Diesel Electricians, the other says “carburetor repairs.”

The shop is closed, but the signs will have a new home, preserved at the museum’s neon courtyard.
