BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Simi Valley man died Thursday in a crash on Highway 99 north of the Interstate 5 split, according to the coroner’s office.
Harvey Akio Taira, 63, died at the scene when his vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle, the coroner’s office said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
