Man died from smoke inhalation in California City fire, coroner says

CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. (KGET) — A man whose body was found after a house fire died from smoke inhalation, with heart disease a contributing factor, according to the coroner’s office.

Daniel Joseph Lyons, 43, died in a fire in the 8900 block of Manzanita Avenue the afternoon of Aug. 11, according to coroner’s officials.

His death was an accident, officials said.
