Luigi’s restaurant closed after employee tests positive for COVID-19

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Popular Italian restaurant Luigi’s will remain closed until next week after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19, management said.

The restaurant closed Wednesday after management found out about the employee’s positive test, and all employees are now being tested, owner Gino Valpredo said.

The deli will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, and the restaurant will reopen on Tuesday.
