Light the Night celebrates, remembers community members affected by cancer

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Fireworks capped off this year’s Light the Night event at the Bakersfield Country Club Thursday night.

Each year, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society invites the community to celebrate and remember loved ones who have been affected by cancer.

White lanterns at the event represent survivors, gold lanterns are held in memory of someone while red lanterns are for supporters.
