The Lauren Small Children’s Center received a massive donation of over $230,000 from Panda Express restaurants.
Representatives from Panda Express presented the check to the center Thursday afternoon at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.
The funds were raised all last year at the 11 Panda Express locations in Kern County.
Funds received will go toward the development of the child life specialty program, plus pediatric units and the pediatric intensive care unit.
