ROSAMOND, Calif. (KGET) — Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies were involved in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Rosamond, and a family attorney confirms the man shot and killed was the half brother of Robert Fuller — the man found dead and hanging from a tree in Palmdale last week.
Officials said deputies with its major crimes unit were involved in a shooting during an investigation just after 4:30 p.m in the 3400 block of 15th Street West in Rosamond.
KNBC reported that the man shot by LA County deputies was the half brother of Robert Fuller. A statement from a Fuller family attorney late Wednesday night confirmed the man’s identity as Terron Jammal Boone. Fuller and Boone had the same mother.
At a press conference Wednesday night, Los Angeles County authorities said a suspect opened fire at deputied was shot and killed by deputies. A woman who was in the vehicle with the suspect suffered non-life threatening wounds. A 7-year-old was also in the vehicle but was not struck by gunfire.
Authorities did not confirm nor deny that the man shot and killed was Fuller’s half brother.
“At this time, until we receive all of the information, the family and their legal team doesn’t have any further comment on this incident. The family respectfully asks that their privacy be respected,” the statement from Fuller family attorney, Jamon Hicks, said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation.
Robert Fuller, 24, was found hanged from a tree after 3 a.m. last week across from Palmdale City Hall. His death was initially called a suicide, but family has called for a more thorough investigation.
