BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Fire Department is one of the few agencies to have access to SpaceX internet.
The high-speed internet is provided throughout all of Kern County, even in places with poor connection.
KCFD used the Starlink connection during the Thunder Fire last week, which allowed staff to make data-driven decisions in the wilderness.
