BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The FoodMaxx store on Union Avenue is closing on Friday, management confirmed.
The Save Mart Companies, which owns FoodMaxx, said the store has been under-performing for a while and that the closure will allow the company to reallocate resources to other stores in the Bakersfield area.
“We will remain open and fully stocked to meet all of the community’s needs until our last day,” said Public Affairs Manager Victoria Castro. “We hope the community will continue to shop with us at one of our other Bakersfield FoodMaxx stores.”
Store Manager Isaac Gonzales said all employees will be transferred to the other Bakersfield stores.
