BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Firefighters are investigating what caused a fire at a vacant mobile home in Oildale.

The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. on Friday at a trailer park in the 300 block of McCord Avenue, just off Chester Avenue.

Both city and county fire departments responded. Kern County fire is taking over the investigation.

Battalion Chief Tony Blumer said fire crews were able to make an aggressive attack and prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent trailers.

The trailer is reportedly vacant, however, most of the trailers in the area are occupied, according to Blumer.

The cause is under investigation.
