UPDATE: Baker Fire at 100% containment, 165 acres burned

(UPDATE 6 p.m.): — The Kern County Fire Department said the Baker Fire is now 100% contained and burned 165 acres.

(UPDATE 7:25 a.m.): The Baker fire is 180 acres and is 60% contained, according to CAL FIRE.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County firefighters will stay overnight working to put out a 150-acre brush fire Wednesday night off Bena and Caliente Bodfish roads, east of Bakersfield.

The fire is now called the Baker Fire.

According to Cal Fire the fire is at 0% containment.

Fire crews were called to the area at around 6:30 p.m.

County fire crews remained at the scene to stop forward progress on the fire.
