One house burning, others threatened by fire in Stallion Springs

UPDATE: According to Kern County Fire, forward progress of the Thief Fire was stopped and the evacuation order was lifted. The fire grew to 7 acres and is currently 80% contained. Crews are mopping up and should be complete at approx 1pm. The origin of the fire was a house which was a total loss.

STALLION SPRINGS, Calif. (KGET) — One house is burning and several others are threatened by a fire Wednesday morning near Horsethief Drive and Cummings Court.

The fire is between six to eight acres, Kern County firefighters said. No evacuations have been ordered. The cause of the blaze is unknown.
