BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The month of April saw fewer homicide cases this year than in 2018.
Reporting through the KGET Homicide Tracker, 2018 went on to be the deadliest year on record in Kern County.
At this time last year, 36 deaths were being investigated by local officials.
But in 2019, there have been 25 total homicides so far. That’s 11 fewer cases.
In April 2018, authorities were investigating 15 killings, while this year they are investigating seven.
