CHP arrests 26 people for DUI during Memorial Day Maximum Enforcement Period

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol arrested 26 people for driving under the influence over the Memorial Day weekend.

The department said the arrests were made as part of its Maximum Enforcement Period that began on 6 p.m. on Friday and lasted through 11:59 p.m. on Monday. In addition to the arrests, the CHP said it also investigated one fatal crash.
