DELANO, Calif. (KGET) — Delano police are thanking residents for safe driving practices after a year has passed without a fatal traffic collision in city limits.
No one has died from a traffic collision in Delano since April 27, 2018, according to police. The department typically investigates three to four fatal crashes a year.
“Seconds of inattention while operating a motor vehicle could possibly cost you or someone else their life,” police said in a news release. “Put the phone down and just drive.”
Anyone who sees a suspected drunken driver is asked to call 911.
