CHP hosting Start Smart safe driving program for teens tonight

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — CHP is hosting a free class for teens who are about to get behind the wheel for the first time.

It’s the CHP Start Smart program in-person classes for parents and teens. The two-hour class discusses issues like safe driving habits, consequences of poor choices behind the wheel and tips on how to avoid a crash.

Classes are tonight at 6 p.m.
