LAKESHORE, Calif. (KGET) — China Peak’s new snowmaking system began operation Monday night as the resort hopes to reopen its slopes.
According to a statement from the ski resort, China Peak hopes to make snow every night this week in anticipation of a possible opening on Friday, Nov. 27. The opening date will not be confirmed until Wednesday. China Peak’s snowmaking system is valued at $3.5 million and is among the 10 largest in California.
