The fire is 370 acres and 50 percent contained.
Fire crews are making progress on the fire that prompted the Kern River Canyon to close over the weekend.
The Call Fire started Saturday around 3 p.m., 12 miles west of Lake Isabella.
The fire shut down Highway 178 in both directions overnight, but those entrances were reopened Sunday afternoon.
Forest Service employees have notified the many hunters and campers in the general Breckenridge area, Breckenridge Campground and Mill Creek, along with seasonal residents in Golf Meadow. (Today is opening day of deer hunting for Archery).
