TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KGET) — A CAL FIRE engine rolled over on a Tulare County road Wednesday morning, sending the three firefighters aboard to a local hospital.
CHP says that around 8:35 a.m. a CAL FIRE Firefighter was driving a fire truck westbound on Avenue 56 at Road 240 when the firefighter over-corrected to the left, causing the truck to collide with a dirt embankment.
After the fire truck struck the dirt embankment, it overturned and landed on its roof.
The driver of the fire truck, a 53-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital with possible major injuries. Three other CAL FIRE Firefighter passengers were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
