Pedestrian struck and killed in Chester Avenue collision

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police are investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian Tuesday night in South Bakersfield.

Police said the collision occurred in the 300 block of Chester Avenue at around 7:15 p.m.

Witnesses said a man on a bike was struck by a passing vehicle. The man died at the scene.

It’s unclear if the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stopped.
