UPDATE: Fire damages mobile home, C-train storage unit

UPDATE (11:10 a.m.): The Bakersfield Fire Department said the fire damaged a mobile home as well as a nearbly C-train storage unit and a few other items on another property. The fire was knocked down in about 10 minutes.

The fire is being investigated as an arson, according to the department. There is no suspect information available at this time.


call came in just after 9 a.m. rescue/medical aid unit was in route to a nother call when they saw a mobile home was on fire. the fire was knocked down, and a women came up and thought her husband was inside but he was not. and it also caught a C-train storage unit and a few other items on another property. no suspects at this time. Arson is investigating. The fire was knocked down in about 10 minutes. 

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Fire Department is responding to a structure fire in east Bakersfield.

At around 9:13 a.m., firefighters were sent to the area of East Truxtun Avenue and Tulare Street. It has not been confirmed at this time what kind of structure is on fire nor what may have caused the fire.
