Arson investigators looking into cause of fire at abandoned East Bakersfield house

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A vacant house in East Bakersfield caught fire Tuesday and arson investigators are looking into the cause.

Firefighters were dispatched around noon to a fire at a house on the corner of Gage and Jefferson streets. They doused the blaze and reported there were no injuries.

Battalion Chief Michael Walkley said people who notice abandoned homes in their neighborhood should contact code enforcement.
