BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A fatality occurred on Alta Vista Drive on Saturday at 7:21 a.m. when a grey vehicle rolled over and crashed into a building, claiming the life of at least one of the occupants.
According to the Bakersfield Fire Department, the vehicle carrying three individuals rammed into a house on 2200 Alta Vista Drive, then the BFD sent 11 personnel to the scene.
Upon arriving, the BFD found two occupants injured and the third occupant dead. The injured occupants with major and minor injuries respectively were transferred to a hospital for treatment.
The overturned vehicle blocked all northbound and southbound lanes on Alta Vista Drive between Goodman and Irene roads, which as of 5:11 p.m. are still closed.
