BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - New information on the motorcyclist who was killed after he was thrown over a car that made a u-turn right in front of him.
Family confirmed with 17 News the identity of the rider, 41-year-old, Damon Hill.
The crash was caught on nearby surveillance video, but as soon as 17 News learned of his passing the video was removed from all platforms.
It happened on Union Avenue and 17th Street Thursday morning.
Hill was riding his motorcycle when a driver made a u-turn in front of him.
He hit the back of the car and was, then, ejected off his bike.
At the time of the crash, Bakersfield Police said Hill survived and was taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
BPD said Hill succumbed to his injuries Friday morning.
Hill's family says he was a father of 6 and a grandfather to 5. According to family members, their mother, Stefenie Hill, passed away suddenly four years ago.
The family man also leaves behind a fiance'.
