The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County has a fun way to make sure kids don’t lose any of their smarts during summer break.
Wednesday was the “Food Truck Experience” at the Stockdale Club on Young Street where kids grouped up and created their own trucks and menus.
Activity leader Mickey Cushine says it lets kids share their favorite food with others.
“It enables the students to bring part of their culture, part of something they love, to other members of their club as well,” he said.
Cushine says even when kids got the same food to use, everything else relied on their own creativity from the colors of their trucks to their menus.
