A family in East Bakersfield is waking up this morning in a home ready for the holidays.
The Duffey family’s home received some much-needed repairs Sunday as a courtesy from the Bakersfield Californian Foundation.
Officers and explorers of the Bakersfield Police Department, as well as members of Lennar Home Builders volunteered to get the home holiday-prepared.
“These people they have some important things to do with their time, you know, and for them to take the time to be available to help us..is such a blessing and overwhelming to say the least,” said Brittney Duffey.
The home received a fresh coat of paint, security lighting and a covering for their fence.
