A gynecologist accused of sexual misconduct and negligence will not be able to practice for the next three years.
Dr. Jason Helliwell, a gynecologist and cosmetic surgeon in Bakersfield, was accused of botching the care of two patients and having sex with a third.
The state medical board initially filed a complaint in 2015.
On June 29, the California Department of Justice ordered Helliwell’s certificate to be revoked for 42 months.
The probation period officially goes into effect Friday.
