A local cyclist is pedaling past his competition and placing himself on a world stage.
Centennial High School graduate Tyler Williams, 23, is back home getting some practice in before he heads to Utah for his next big race.
Williams is the only American on the Israel Cycling Academy team. Having spent so much time racing in Europe from an early age, Williams has little experience with the big U.S. races.
Do you know Tyler Williams? If not, you need to!! He’s a talented local cyclist!! 🚴🏼♂️ He hopes to compete in the Tour de France!! 💪🏻🎉 More tonight on @KGETnews pic.twitter.com/S0OZKAPrGW— Tabatha Mills (@Tabatha_KGET) July 31, 2018
With its wider roads and smaller field sizes, U.S. races offer new opportunities for the team.
